The three-dimensional mesh structure endows needle punched nonwoven materials with high porosity (up to 70%~80%), high capacity, and high filtration accuracy, making them an important raw material for automotive filtration materials . LAWRENCE et al. [10] improved the filtration efficiency of needle punched nonwoven fabrics by reducing the average pore size and particle permeability on the surface through coating and rolling techniques. Therefore, the use of laminating technology can significantly improve the filtration efficiency of needle punched nonwoven materials.
Auto Interior Material
CHEN et al. coated a layer of thermoplastic polyurethane on needle punched nonwoven fabric to improve the mechanical properties and flame resistance of TPU coated needle punched nonwoven material. Sun Hui et al. prepared two types of needle punched cloth laminated composite materials, using primary color and black polyethylene as coating materials, and analyzed the micro and macro properties of the composite materials. The research results showed that coating processing can improve the crystallinity of primary color polyethylene and promote the mechanical properties of the coating layer.
