Overview of Guangdong Nonwoven Fabric Association

The Guangdong Nonwoven Fabric Association was established in October 1986 and registered with the Guangdong Provincial Department of Civil Affairs. It is the earliest technical, economic and social organization in the non-woven fabric industry in China with legal personality. The Guangdong Nonwoven Fabric Association, rooted in the non-woven fabric industry in Guangdong, has made positive contributions to the development of the non-woven fabric industry in Guangdong from scratch, from small to large, and from weak to strong over the years, and has been advancing with its continuous development. Currently, there are over 150 members. Member enterprises include: non-woven fabric and industrial textile coil production factories, non-woven fabric product processing enterprises, raw materials and accessories

Production enterprises, equipment manufacturers, trading companies, professional colleges, research institutions, and testing institutions for materials and functional additives. For a long time, Guangdong Nonwoven Fabric Association has actively played a bridging role while serving as an assistant and staff officer to government administrative departments, insisting on providing various effective services to member units, and emphasizing mutual communication with peers at home and abroad, gaining recognition from member units and peers, and establishing a good brand image. Persist in providing various effective services to member units: actively carry out technical training and exchange activities, regularly hold annual meetings and special technical (or economic) lectures; Organize members to conduct inspections outside the province and overseas; Assist enterprises in attracting investment, technological transformation, conducting IS0 quality certification work, and providing various consulting services; Assist enterprises in project application and coordinate the processing of relevant certificates and licenses; Regularly publish the journal “Guangdong Nonwoven Fabric” (formerly “Guangdong Nonwoven Fabric Information”):

Timely provide members with the latest information on the international and domestic non-woven fabric industry. With the formation of the non-woven fabric industry cluster in Guangdong and the continuous improvement of industry competitiveness, in recent years, the association has put a lot of effort into industry development orientation and issued a series of guiding reports.

The Guangdong Nonwoven Fabric Association has always attached great importance to communication with peers at home and abroad. Currently, it has established contacts with non-woven fabric associations in countries and regions such as the United States, Europe, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, as well as other provinces in China. It has also organized multiple groups to participate in domestic and international non-woven fabric exhibitions, actively guiding enterprises to explore international and domestic markets. With the continuous development of the non-woven fabric industry and the deepening of government institutional reforms, the Guangdong Nonwoven Fabric Association will play a greater role in communicating the relationship between the government and enterprises, strengthening industry management, and fully aligning with international standards.

Main work in recent years:

（1） Advocate for technological innovation, be a leader and protector of industry development

The association adheres to advocating for leading the industry with technology and winning the market with quality. Over the past 5 years, various specialized lectures and technical training on non-woven fabrics have been held, and domestic and foreign experts and professors have been invited to exchange ideas and introduce new equipment, technologies, products, and trends of non-woven fabrics at home and abroad. There have been 38 sessions, with nearly 5000 attendees. And we will adhere to the theme of focusing on the development hotspots of non-woven fabrics every year, hold corresponding thematic technical exchange meetings to safeguard the development of the industry, guide the non-woven fabric industry in Guangdong to maintain healthy and stable development, and keep the main economic indicators and technical level of the industry at the forefront of the country.

（2） Promote industrial upgrading and serve as a bridge and link between the government and enterprises

Actively participate in the learning organized by relevant functional departments of the provincial government, timely understand relevant industrial policies, and pass them on to member enterprises. Assist the government in conducting industry research, cooperate with relevant work such as industrial management, industrial layout, and industrial development planning, guide the industry to carry out energy conservation and emission reduction, clean production, intelligent manufacturing, etc; Release guidance documents such as the “List of Partial Financial Support and Policy Support Projects for Provincial Government Departments” to guide enterprises to make good use of national financial support policies; Timely report to the government on the difficulties encountered in the development of enterprises and report on the development of the industry.

（3） Promote foreign exchanges and create market opportunities for enhancing international trade

The association has been closely connected with non-woven fabric associations in countries and regions such as the United States, Europe, Asia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, maintaining smooth information flow and mutual visits. And we have organized multiple groups to participate in domestic and international non-woven fabric exhibitions and technical seminars, inspected advanced non-woven fabric manufacturing regions and well-known enterprises, promoted exchanges and cooperation among non-woven fabric peers and upstream and downstream industries in multiple regions, led members to understand the world, understand the market, find the right direction, and created good business opportunities for the development of import and export trade. As a result, the import and export volume of non-woven fabrics in Guangdong has been continuously increasing, ranking at the leading level in the country.

Dongguan Liansheng Nonwoven Fabric was established in 2020 and joined the Guangdong Nonwoven Fabric Association in 2022. The company has been focusing on the research and development, manufacturing, production, and sales of spunbond non-woven fabrics. During its development, the company continuously cooperates with customers to integrate a complete production chain, so that customers can enjoy high-quality, efficient, and low-cost essential services in the product procurement process, and improve product competitiveness.
