Medical non-woven fabric and ordinary non-woven fabric are very common in our daily lives, but to distinguish them, you may be confused. Today, let’s take a look at the differences between medical non-woven fabrics and ordinary non-woven fabrics?
Non woven fabric refers to non-woven materials, and medical non-woven fabric is a type of non-woven fabric. Medical non-woven fabric is pressed using a process of spunbond, melt blown, and spunbond (SMS), which has the characteristics of bacterial resistance, hydrophobicity, breathability, and no hair shavings.
1. Multiple antivirus compatibility
Excellent medical non-woven fabrics need to be suitable for various disinfection methods at the same time. Three disinfection methods, including pressure steam, ethylene oxide, hydrogen peroxide, etc., are preferred and can be used simultaneously. And ordinary non-woven fabrics have not been disinfected.
2. The manifestation of antivirus effect
Medical non-woven fabrics generally require the use of a three-layer SMMMS melt blown layer structure. The commonly used medical non-woven fabric in industry uses a single-layer SMS melt blown layer structure. In contrast, the resistance of a three-layer structure is better than that of a single layer. Ordinary non-woven fabric, without a melt blown layer in the middle, cannot have an antivirus effect.
3. Using environmentally friendly methods
Excellent medical non-woven fabric, using green PP particles for environmental protection. However, ordinary non-woven fabrics cannot withstand high humidity conditions.
4. Strict quality control
The production process of good medical non-woven fabric requires ISO13485 international medical product quality management system certification, and real-time online testing of each step in the production process. This ensures that each medical non-woven fabric component is sent to the quality inspection department and has relevant batch inspection reports. However, ordinary non-woven fabrics do not require medical level testing.
