Reusable non woven bag from spunbond nonwoven

With the development of society, people’s awareness of environmental protection is becoming increasingly strong. Reuse is undoubtedly an effective method for environmental protection, and this article will focus on the reuse of eco-friendly bags. The so-called environmentally friendly bags refer to materials that can be naturally degraded and will not be degraded for too long; Meanwhile, bags that can be reused multiple times can be referred to as eco-friendly bags.

As an environmentally friendly product that has emerged in recent years, spunbond non-woven bags are highly favored by consumers due to their natural and easily biodegradable materials. However, some consumers or businesses may have the question: Can spunbond non-woven bags be used multiple times?

The material characteristics and production process of spunbond non-woven bags make them easy to be used multiple times. The price of spunbond non-woven bags is cheaper compared to bags made of other materials. They are very convenient to use and can be quickly decomposed after use, resulting in relatively less environmental pollution.

Introduction to spunbond nonwoven fabric

Unwoven fabric is called non-woven fabric, and NW is the abbreviation for non-woven fabric. It can be classified into various types through different technologies. Spunbond is a technical textile fabric composed of 100% polypropylene raw materials. Unlike other fabric products, it is defined as non-woven fabric. It has the characteristics of simple operation, fast production, high output, low cost, wide application, and abundant raw materials. It breaks through the control of traditional textiles and is the main material used to make non-woven bags.

We would like to clarify the definition and classification of non-woven fabrics as follows: DGFT has merged non-woven fabrics with HSN 5603 in accordance with Technical Textile Notice No. 54/2015-2020 Dt. 15.1.2019. (Please refer to Attachment 1, Advanced Numbers 57-61)
Technically speaking, non-woven fabrics refer to those that have not been woven. PP spunbond non-woven fabric is a porous, breathable, and permeable fabric. Non woven fabrics have significant differences in technology compared to woven fabrics.

RIL Repol H350FG is recommended for use in tight fiber spinning operations for manufacturing fine denier multifilaments and non-woven fabrics. Repol H350FG has excellent uniformity and can be used for high-speed spinning of fine denier fibers. Repol H350FG contains excellent process stabilizer packaging, suitable for non-woven fabrics and long filaments.

IOCL – Propel 1350 YG – has high melt flowability and can be used for high-speed production of fine denier fibers/non-woven fabrics. PP homopolymer. Suggest using 1350YG to produce spunbond non-woven fabrics and fine denier multifilament.

The following are some basic characteristics of spunbond nonwoven fabrics

100% recyclable

Excellent breathability

It has breathability and permeability Do not block drainage

Degradable photos (will degrade under sunlight)

Chemical inertness, non-toxic combustion does not produce any toxic gases or (DKTE)

Shortcomings of spunbond nonwoven fabric

1.In the meat and vegetable market, it is inconvenient to use eco-friendly bags directly for some aquatic products, fruits and vegetables. Because eco-friendly bags need to be cleaned every time they are used, which is very laborious. And the profit from selling one kilogram of vegetables by the business owner may only be 10 cents. Using ordinary plastic bags almost does not require cost calculation, but if biodegradable plastic bags are used, there is almost no profit. That’s also why eco-friendly bags are not very popular in the meat and vegetable market.

2. Many businesses are using non-woven bags as retail packaging bags, which are considered environmentally friendly and can be used to load goods ranging from clothing to food. However, many manufacturers produce non-woven fabrics with lead content higher than the standard. According to inspections by relevant authorities in the United States, many retailers in the country use non-woven bags that exceed lead standards. The Center for Consumer Freedom (CFC) in the United States conducted sampling tests on environmentally friendly bags from 44 large retailers, and the results showed that 16 of them had lead content exceeding 100ppm (the general limit requirement for heavy metals in packaging materials). This makes non-woven bags less safe.

3. Bacteria are everywhere, and using shopping bags without paying attention to hygiene can easily accumulate dirt and grime. Environmentally friendly bags should be specially designed, disinfected regularly, and placed in a well ventilated area. If not cleaned in time, repeated use can breed bacteria. If everything is put in the eco-friendly bag and repeatedly used, cross contamination will occur.

Dongguan Liansheng Non woven Technology Co., Ltd. was established in May 2020. It is a large-scale non-woven fabric production enterprise integrating research and development, production, and sales. It can produce various colors of PP spunbond non-woven fabrics with a width of less than 3.2 meters from 9 grams to 300 grams.
