Manufacturing process
Spunbond non-woven fabric and melt blown non-woven fabric are both types of non-woven fabric, but their manufacturing processes are different.
Spunbond nonwoven fabric is formed by extruding and stretching polymers into continuous filaments, which are then laid into a web. The web is then self bonded, thermally bonded, chemically bonded, or mechanically reinforced to transform into nonwoven fabric. Melt blown non-woven fabric is commonly referred to as ultrafine fibers.
Meltblown non-woven fabric, on the other hand, sprays high-temperature melted polypropylene or polyester out, stretches it into a fiber network through airflow, and finally undergoes heat setting. Nature
1. The fiber diameter of meltblown fabric can reach 1-5 microns. The ultrafine fibers with unique capillary structure have many gaps, fluffy structure, and good wrinkle resistance, which increase the number and surface area of fibers per unit area, thus making the meltblown fabric have good filtering, shielding, insulation, and oil absorption properties. Can be used in fields such as air and liquid filtration materials, isolation materials, absorbent materials, mask materials, insulation materials, oil absorbing materials, and wiping cloths.
2. Non woven fabric is mainly made of polypropylene, and high-speed hot air flow is used to stretch the fine flow of polymer melt extruded from the nozzle holes of the die, thereby forming ultrafine fibers and collecting them on the mesh curtain or drum. At the same time, they are self bonded to become melt blown non-woven fabric. The appearance of meltblown non-woven fabric is white, flat, and soft, with a fiber fineness of 0.5-1.0um. The random distribution of fibers provides more opportunities for thermal bonding between fibers, thus making meltblown gas filtration materials have a larger specific surface area and higher porosity (≥ 75%). Through high-pressure electrostatic filtration efficiency, the product has the characteristics of low resistance, high efficiency, and high dust holding capacity
3. Strength and durability: In general, the strength and durability of melt blown non-woven fabric are higher than those of spunbond non-woven fabric.
4. Breathability: Spunbond non-woven fabric has good breathability and can be used to make medical masks and other products. However, meltblown non-woven fabric has poor breathability and is more suitable for products such as protective clothing.
5. Texture and feel: Melt blown non-woven fabric has a harder texture and feel, while spunbonded non-woven fabric is softer and more in line with the needs of certain fashion products.
Application Fields
Due to the different properties and characteristics of the two types of non-woven fabrics, their application fields also differ.
1. Medical and health: Spunbond non-woven fabric has good breathability and a soft touch, suitable for use in medical and health products such as masks, surgical gowns, etc. Meltblown non-woven fabric is suitable for high-end masks, protective clothing and other products.

Advantages and disadvantages
