As the “top” institution in the field of non-woven fabric inspection and testing, the National Nonwoven Product Quality Inspection and Testing Center (Hubei) (hereinafter referred to as the “Nonwoven Fabric Quality Inspection Center”) is escorting traditional industries towards a new direction.
Make the ‘Xiantao Standard’ more popular
From masks and protective clothing to high-end environmentally friendly materials and face towels, in Pengchang Town, Xiantao City, the non-woven fabric industry is breaking through the “small scattered weak” and moving towards “high-precision” and “large and strong”.
New products call for high standards, and standards mean industry discourse power.
In order to make the parameter settings of the “Xiantao Standard” more reasonable and influential, on September 5th, quality experts from the Non woven Fabric Quality Inspection Center, together with the Xiantao Non woven Fabric Association and Guangjian Group, held a special discussion on group standards such as “Cotton Soft Towels”, “Disposable Non woven Fabric Isolation Clothes”, “Disposable Non woven Fabric Hats”, and “Disposable Non woven Fabric Shoe Cover”, and put forward revision suggestions.
Starting from September 10th, inspectors will measure indicators such as flocculation coefficient and pH value of the products, providing reference for the parameter setting of group standards.

Building a public service platform for inspection and testing in key areas such as textiles, chemicals, construction, and traditional manufacturing can provide customized solutions for industrial innovation and upgrading.
The National Quality Inspection Center for Non woven Fabrics has signed equipment sharing agreements and jointly established innovation platforms with leading companies in the industry such as Hubei Tuoying New Materials Co., Ltd. and Hengtian Jiahua Non woven Co., Ltd., reducing the cost of repeated purchase of inspection equipment by enterprises.
Before the launch of a new product, multiple pilot tests are indispensable. Recently, Hengtian Jiahua Nonwovens Co., Ltd. has launched a new project of high barrier antiviral breathable film. In order to develop high-performance products that meet market demand more quickly, production sites need to repeatedly test machines based on laboratory testing results, sometimes requiring more than ten tests per day. The faster the test results are obtained, the lower the cost of enterprise testing.
The center actively assists enterprises in real-time testing and provides accurate testing results; Assist enterprises in strengthening their interpretation and understanding of testing standards, providing strong support for new product development and innovation.
In order to meet the market demand for hydroentangled non-woven fabrics, Hengtian Jiahua is developing a fiber blended hydroentangled product with lower cost and better performance. The technical difficulty lies in controlling the mixing ratio of fibers, which requires extremely precise equipment calibration. The staff of the National Quality Inspection Center for Non woven Fabrics have assisted enterprises in debugging multiple times, helping them to avoid pitfalls and increase lightning protection.
One enterprise, one strategy, precise service
In recent years, the National Quality Inspection Center for Non woven Fabrics has carried out quality improvement actions in more than 100 non-woven fabric production enterprises and nearly 50 Xiantao Maozui women’s pants enterprises, providing guidance on everything from label content to fabric composition content.
In the past, textile companies would always refuse to let us know that they were not at home, fearing that we would come to enforce the law. Now, knowing that our center can ‘diagnose the pulse’ of our products, the company has gradually become friends with us. The person in charge of the National Quality Inspection Center for Non woven Fabrics said that through conducting visits and research, the center has summarized the needs and difficulties of the company, formulated risk monitoring plans, conducted inspections, and conducted non conformance analysis summaries, and held multiple quality analysis training sessions to interpret the company’s non conformance projects, propose targeted improvement measures, and provide personalized solutions for each company.
According to statistics, the center has collaborated with the Xiantao Market Supervision Bureau to carry out three phases of non-woven fabric and one phase of textile and clothing product quality risk monitoring activities throughout the city. For more than 160 participating enterprises, on-site “pulse diagnosis” was conducted, and “Product Quality Improvement Proposal” was issued to enterprises with unqualified risk monitoring results according to the standard of “one enterprise, one book, one policy”, providing targeted improvement measures and suggestions.
For non-woven fabric and textile clothing enterprises to transform towards high-end and high-quality, composite quality inspection talents are essential.
The center has signed an agreement with Xiantao Vocational College to jointly establish a modern non-woven technology industry education integration practice center. The center will focus on quality inspection and testing of non-woven fabric products for training, allowing future “quality inspectors” to learn new processes, technologies, and standards in industries such as meltblown and hydrojet, and to understand products and equipment such as three resistant non-woven fabrics and fully automatic one to two mask machines.
