The wearing and taking off process and precautions of protective clothing!

During the COVID-19, all the staff were doing nucleic acid testing. We can see that the medical staff wore protective clothing and braved the heat to do nucleic acid testing for us. They worked very hard, their protective suits were soaked through, but they still held on to their posts without relaxing. We should pay tribute to them! Some people may want to wear protective clothing, so why not take it off?

Protective clothing is used by clinical medical personnel to block and protect potentially infectious patient blood, body fluids, and secretions that they come into contact with during work. Moreover, protective clothing is disposable. If medical staff take it off, the protective clothing will no longer provide protection, so as long as it is taken off, it cannot be worn again. So, what preparations are needed before wearing protective clothing? Let’s take a look together:

Preparation before wearing protective clothing

1. Before wearing protective clothing, it is necessary to conduct a thorough inspection and not rely solely on personal experience, otherwise it may cause serious safety accidents. Before wearing protective clothing, check the integrity of the clothing to see if there are any stains on the surface, cracks at the seams, etc. If there is any damage, it will affect the protective function.

2. After putting on protective clothing, it is not convenient to eat, drink, and defecate. Pay attention to the reasonable and standardized time for eating and drinking during work. 3. When wearing medical protective clothing, be sure to check the airtightness!

The correct way to wear protective clothing

Before wearing protective clothing, prepare all necessary items such as protective clothing, gloves, masks, gloves, and headgear.

Firstly, disinfect the hands.

2. Wear a medical protective mask, take it out and put it on. After putting it on, press it around with your hands to see if it is tightly worn.

3. Take out the headband and put it on your head, being careful not to expose your hair.

4. Wear inner surgical gloves.

5. Wear shoe covers.

6. Wear protective clothing, following the instructions of putting it on from bottom to top. After putting it on, zip up and attach a sealing strip.

7. Wear protective goggles or face shields.

8. Wear outer surgical gloves.

After putting on protective clothing, you can move around to see if it is suitable and if there is no exposure.

The process of removing protective clothing

1. Disinfect hands first.

2. Wear a protective mask or goggles. Be careful not to touch your face with both hands. After using the goggles, soak them in a fixed recycling container for disinfection.

3. When taking off protective clothing, roll it outwards and drag it downwards. Be sure to remove the outer gloves together. Finally, throw it into the discarded medical waste bin.

4. Disinfect hands, remove shoe covers, remove inner gloves, and replace with new masks.

Reminder

When discarding protective clothing, it is important to strictly comply with relevant laws and regulations, and dispose of unusable protective clothing according to medical waste classification methods!
