Laminated nonwoven material
Coating is a process in which a polymer melt is deposited onto a substrate through a coating machine, and then dried to form a protective film on the surface of the substrate. High polymer films are usually polyethylene, polypropylene, or polyester, and are divided into water-based films and oil-based films based on their characteristics. The water-based coating technology dissolves high polymers in water, then coats the solvent on the surface of the fabric, and finally produces a substrate protective layer through infrared drying or natural drying. The solvent used in oil-based coating technology is mainly UV photosensitive resin, which can only be dried by ultraviolet radiation. The oily coating layer has good friction resistance and can be used for a long time in various ecological or physicochemical environments such as infrared, ultraviolet, laser, wind, frost, rain, snow, acid and alkali.
Laminated nonwoven materials are prepared by coating nonwoven materials with high polymer melts or solvents, and can be in the form of single-layer or double-layer coatings, as shown in Figure 1 and Figure 2. The coating layer can provide a certain strength and bind the surface fibers of the substrate, suppress the mutual slip between fibers, and improve the mechanical properties of the composite material. At the same time, utilizing the characteristics of the coating layer can also endow the material with water and oil repellent properties.
Types of laminated nonwoven materials
At present, the substrates used for large-scale use of laminated nonwoven materials are mainly needle punched nonwoven materials and spunbond nonwoven materials, with some using hydroentangled nonwoven materials.
Laminated needle punched nonwoven material
Needle punched nonwoven materials are composed of fibers with a three-dimensional mesh structure, which gives needle punched nonwoven fabrics good permeability and filtration performance. During the molding process, the needle repeatedly punctures the fiber web, forcing the fibers on the surface and locally into the interior of the web. The originally fluffy web is compressed, giving the needle punched non-woven fabric excellent mechanical properties. Coating the surface of needle punched non-woven materials with a layer of high polymer film and a molten film layer can penetrate into the interior of the material, improving the composite strength of the film coating [5]. For two-component fiber needle punched felt, the molten film forms more bonds with the fibers, making the material structure more compact .
Laminated spunbond nonwoven material
Spunbond nonwoven fabrics have excellent properties such as high strength, smooth surface, soft hand feel, and resistance to bending and wear, and are widely used in automotive textiles . The internal fibers of spunbond nonwoven materials are tightly bonded through rolling points, and a layer of high polymer is sprayed on the surface of the material. The molten film is easy to bond with the fibers and rolling points of the spunbond material, improving the comprehensive performance of the laminated spunbond nonwoven material.
Laminated hydroentangled nonwoven material
The forming process mechanism of hydroentangled nonwoven materials is that high-pressure ultra-fine water jet impacts the fiber web, causing the fibers inside the fiber web to entangle with each other and form a continuous nonwoven material under the impact of the water jet. Water jet nonwoven materials have good softness and elasticity properties. Compared to rigid needle punched nonwoven materials, the strength of water needle impact is weaker, resulting in lower entanglement between fibers inside the water needle punched nonwoven material, giving it better breathability. By using film coating technology, a layer of high polymer fluid film is coated on the surface of water jet nonwoven materials, which not only provides excellent film protection performance, but also has good flexibility and tensile elasticity.
Dongguan Liansheng Non woven Technology Co., Ltd. was established in May 2020. It is a large-scale non-woven fabric production enterprise integrating research and development, production, and sales. It can produce various colors of PP spunbond non-woven fabrics with a width of less than 3.2 meters from 9 grams to 300 grams.
