What is non woven polyester

Polyester non-woven fabric generally refers to non-woven polyester fiber fabric, and the exact name should be “non-woven fabric”. It is a type of fabric formed without the need for spinning and weaving. It simply orients or randomly arranges textile short fibers or long fibers to form a fiber network structure, and then uses mechanical, thermal bonding, or chemical methods to reinforce it. It is a new type of fiber product with soft, breathable, and flat structure, which is directly formed through various fiber mesh forming methods and consolidation techniques using high polymer slicing, short fibers, or long filaments.

Polyester nonwoven fabric is a non-woven fabric formed by uniformly distributing polyester filament on the running mesh curtain under specific temperature and pressure through equipment such as screw extruder and spinneret, forming a fluffy fiber mesh, and then repeatedly punctured by a needle punching machine. The polyester non-woven fabric produced by Jiamei New Material has good mechanical function, good water permeability, corrosion resistance, aging resistance, isolation, anti filtration, drainage, protection, stability, reinforcement and other functions, can adapt to uneven base course, can resist external force damage during construction, creep is small, and can still maintain its original function under long-term load, so it is often used as roof waterproof isolation layer.

Compared with other types of textile geotextiles and short fiber geotextiles, non woven polyester has the following characteristics:

(1) High tensile strength: Compared with short fiber geotextiles of the same grade, the tensile strength is increased by 63%, the tear resistance is increased by 79%, and the top breaking resistance is increased by 135%.

(2) Good heat resistance: It has a softening point above 238 ℃, and its strength does not decrease at 200 ℃. The thermal shrinkage rate does not change below 2 ℃.

(3) Excellent creep performance: The strength will not suddenly decrease after long-term use.

(4) Strong corrosion resistance.

(5) Good durability, etc.

The waterproof isolation layer exists between the roof waterproof layer and the rigid protective layer above. The rigid layer on the surface (usually 40mm thick fine aggregate concrete) will undergo thermal expansion and contraction deformation. When constructing other structural layers on the waterproof layer, in order to avoid damaging the waterproof layer, polyester non-woven fabric is generally designed for appropriate protection, with a weight of 200g/㎡. Polyester non-woven fabric is generally a porous and permeable medium, which can collect water and discharge it from the soil when buried in it. They can not only drain along the direction perpendicular to their plane, but also along their plane direction, which means they have horizontal drainage function. Long filament geotextiles have been widely used for drainage and consolidation of earth dams, roadbeds, retaining walls, and soft soil foundations. Polyester non-woven fabric has high tensile strength, good heat resistance, excellent creep performance, and strong corrosion resistance. Good durability, high porosity, and good hydraulic conductivity are ideal filter materials for planting soil. Therefore, it is widely used in residential roof drainage boards, asphalt roads, bridges, water conservancy and other construction projects.
