Nonwoven Bag Fabric

What is the method of non-woven filter media for non-woven fabric manufacturers?

The filtration of air and water is crucial for our health and safety. Filters come in various shapes and sizes and can be made from textiles or non-woven fabrics produced by non-woven fabric manufacturers.

The woven fabrics of non-woven fabric manufacturers are made by weaving single filament materials such as monofilament or fiber yarn on a loom. The production process of non-woven fabrics by non-woven fabric manufacturers involves sequentially or randomly bonding fibers together, and then bonding each layer of non-woven fabric with a polymer to form a porous material suitable for filtration.

Different methods for producing filter media using non-woven fabrics

The manufacturing method of filter media mainly depends on the type of filter required. There are mainly six methods:

1. Sorting method

The filtering medium of carding machines has traditionally been used for masks and filtering edible oil, cooling oil, and milk. Non woven fabric manufacturers usually use resin or thermal bonding, which can be replaced by other methods described below in some cases.

2. Wet process

Wet and wet filter media are used for swimming pool filters, coffee filters, and particulate air filters. Its manufacturing process is similar to papermaking. On standard papermaking equipment, a mixture of artificial, natural, or glass fiber short fibers forms the paper medium.

3. Melt blown method

Meltblown filter media is an ideal choice for particle filtration, such as dust, asbestos, and smoke. This is a common type of filter in respirators that is easy to mass produce. It is formed without the use of fibers: instead, molten polymer is blown into a microporous network.

4. Spunbond method

Spunbond filter media is lightweight and can be used for air and liquid filtration. Non woven fabric manufacturers tell you that like melt blown media, they do not require fibers, but are spun from nylon, polyester, or polypropylene.

5. Acupuncture

The manufacturing of needle punched filter media is a mechanical process that involves the use of needle felt needles to locate and interlock fibers in spunbond or combing webs. The three-dimensional structure of pinhole filter media is an ideal filter for capturing surface and internal particles. This is a commonly used filtration method for cleaning incoming water and wastewater.

6. Composite method

Non woven composite materials are a process of bonding multiple layers of non-woven fabrics and polymers together using different techniques, thereby combining the properties of each layer. Non woven fabric manufacturers tell you that layering is an ideal choice for heating, cooling, and ventilation in homes, buildings, and cars during the manufacturing process of filter media.

Advantages of Composite Compounds

The non-woven fabric manufacturer tells you that compared with other methods, the process of composite generation of filter media has many obvious advantages. After mixing, the material becomes:

1. Capable of withstanding the disinfection and cleaning of reinforced chemicals;

2. Good high-temperature stability;

3. Wear resistant and have a long service life;

Dongguan Liansheng Non woven Technology Co., Ltd. was established in May 2020. It is a large-scale non-woven fabric production enterprise integrating research and development, production, and sales. It can produce various colors of PP spunbond non-woven fabrics with a width of less than 3.2 meters from 9 grams to 300 grams.
